Meet Dr Naghibi
Dr Mani Naghibi is a highly experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist with a specialist interest in digestive health, gut-related pain, and nutrition.
With over a decade of consultant-level experience, he brings a compassionate, evidence-based approach to treating conditions such as reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, and nutritional disorders.
Dr Naghibi believes that every patient deserves personalised, first-class care that not only treats symptoms but also improves long-term wellbeing. His calm, thorough approach ensures patients feel confident, informed, and supported at every stage of their healthcare journey.
Training & Qualifications
Once Dr Mani Naghibi graduated he went on to specialise in Gastroenterology at hospitals across London and Wessex, before further specialising in Human Nutrition at University Hospital Southampton. During his higher specialism training he earned a Doctorate in Medicine (MD) for his thesis research on the use of artificial nutrition to improve outcomes in cancer patients.
He is an accredited endoscopist and a member of professional bodies such as the British Society of Gastroenterology and the British Association of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.
Teaching & Research
Dr. Naghibi has made significant contributions to the field of gastroenterology, with a particular focus on nutrition for patients with cancer. His Medical Doctorate (MD) thesis explored the use of artificial nutrition to improve outcomes and quality of life for cancer patients. He has been awarded the Shire Prize for Innovation in Gastroenterology (2014) and NHS Clinical Excellence Awards (2017, 2020-23) for his research and clinical excellence. His current research continues to investigate the effects of nutrition on both cancer and non-cancer patients, with a focus on improving health through dietary interventions.
